Our Story

After nine years, PeteJenn (Brett's nickname for us in high school) are finally going to tie the knot. Yes, we have been together since High School and next year is our 10 year high school reunion, we kind of had to get married before that!

Our relationship has survived:

• A 2 year long distance relationship.
• Indiana University, rated the #1 party school while we were there.
• Living in a 500 square foot apartment with a 100lb, psychotic Labrador (that's 3.2 ounces of psychotic Labrador per square foot).
• Opposing work schedules where Pete worked overnights and Jenn worked days.
• A cross-country move with all of our belongings in a horse trailer.
• A road trip where we were together 24 hrs/day for 30 days (anyone who thinks this is no big deal, we encourage you to try it sometime with someone you think you love).
• Jenn's obsession with horses (thanks, Donna and Jack!), horse shows, hanging out with crazy horse people (ahem, Nad), well mostly crazy horse women (you know who you are!).
• Pete's obsession with having the latest technology or electronic, keeping the house at subzero temperatures (Pat and Gary, stop laughing!), and the most incorrigible dog that ever lived (again Pat and Gary, never forgive you for that dog [editor's note: dog is a bundle of joy, don't know what author is talking about]).

And we have come through it all wanting more. More road trips, more crazy busy schedules, more roombas (it is a robotic vacuum cleaner... don't ask), and more electric blankets/mattress pads to keep Jenn warm.

In all seriousness, these past nine years have been a glorious ride that we can't wait for the next 109. We love each other more than words can express and can't imagine tackling life's future challenges with anyone else.
